Our Office of career planning helps support your lifelong career plan, and will help you select courses that will get your career on track. As always, our flexible scheduling and online course offerings cater to your schedule, so you can work at your own pace whether you are a full time student or working full time.

Literacy
This definition is important as it looks at literacy, at least to some extent, from a more contextualized perspective. The definition of 'literate', then, depends on the skills needed within a particular environment. Of note, also, is the emphasis on English.

Science
the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.
Writing
The writing process is an approach to writing that entails the recursive phases of pre-writing, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing.

Geography
the study of the physical features of the earth and its atmosphere, and of human activity as it affects and is affected by these, including the distribution of populations and resources, land use, and industries.
Mathematics
the abstract science of number, quantity, and space. Mathematics may be studied in its own right ( pure mathematics ), or as it is applied to other disciplines such as physics and engineering ( applied mathematics ).

Physical Education
instruction in the development and care of the body ranging from simple callisthenic exercises to a course of study providing training in hygiene, gymnastics, and the performance and management of athletic games.
